12 slices brioche+
40g butter, melted
4 figs, sliced
¼ cup (45g) brown sugar
110g pâté Heat a large non-stick frying pan over high heat. Cut the brioche slices into twelve 6cm x 3cm rectangles. Brush with the butter and cook for 1 minute each side or until golden. Set aside.Press the fig slices in the sugar and cook for 1–2 minutes or until caramelised. Spread the pâté on the brioche and top with the fig to serve. Makes 12.
* Brioche is a slightly sweet bread made with eggs and butter. You can buy loaves of brioche from supermarkets and bakeries.
