candy-filled chocolate cake

  • 1 x 22cm round basic chocolate cake (see link to recipe in step 1)
  • 1 x quantity basic vanilla butter icing (see link to recipe in step 1)
  • chocolate-covered wafer biscuits, candy-coated chocolates, and ribbon, to decorate
  1. Roughly ice the whole chocolate cake with the butter icing using a palette knife.
  2. Place the chocolate wafer biscuits evenly around the sides of the cake. Fill the centre of the cake with the candy-coated chocolates and tie with a ribbon.
