  • ½ teaspoon peppermint essence

chocolate topping

  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped

Also, I prefer a thin layer of icing, contrary to the recipe.

It’s pretty yum, my family insists I make this all the time. Also, the icing sugar-water ratio is way off, I use about five tablespoons of water, if not more

Hi Sheree, the best way to avoid the chocolate cracking is to cut with a warm dry knife. We dip our knife in hot water and dry it with a tea towel. The dh team

Hi Paul, make sure the water is boiling when you add it, this will help the mix to set. Also, if you are using icing sugar mixture the peppermint icing will be thicker. The dh team

I had a similar problem with the water to icing ratios. I’m curious as to a tip to when you should cut it up to prevent the chocolate too from breaking ? Thanks #lookingforhelp

I’m in the process of making this. The water to icing sugar ratio seems way off. Had to add 2-3 times more to get a spreadable paste.
